If you would like to use BookFusion on a personal device, and you have been given an at-home access letter, please follow these instructions.

Please note: These instructions are written for a computer, such as a Mac or Windows laptop. BookFusion do support tablets, such as iPads and Android tablets, but we are unable to provide technical support for these.

1. Ensure you have a compatible browser

BookFusion recommends a Chromium based browser. These include Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, as well as privacy-focused options like Brave.

Internet Explorer (Windows) and Safari (Mac) will not work.

2. Navigate to Google dot com and find the sign in button in the top right hand corner

If you are signed in with another Google account, such as a personal or work Gmail, click your profile picture, then Add Account. If you are not, click Sign In.

Privacy note:

Google syncs your searches to the cloud. If the Book Library account is the only Google account signed in on your device, your device will report your search history under the BookFusion account.
We recommend signing in with a personal Google account, or creating one if you do not already have one. Alternatively, you may wish to consider changing your default search engine to an alternative, such as Bing, to ensure your private activity is not shared via the Book Library account.

3. Enter the provided email address and password

This will be on your letter.

If you are signed in to Google Chrome with a school or work account, this option may be blocked, and you may need to switch Chrome user or use another browser.

4. On the 2-Step Verification page, scroll down and click "Try Another Way"

The name of the device shown may change – this screenshot is indicative.

5. Select to use a back-up code

6. Enter your code

This code is on your letter, and is single-use. If you are signing in on a device that you own, you may wish to click “Don’t ask me again on this device”.

7. Select "Not now" if you are asked to simplify sign-in

This creates a personal passkey for the account, which violates the terms and conditions of your BookFusion access. Doing this may result in your access being revoked.

8. Navigate to www.bookfusion.com and click Sign In

9. Select Google

Depending on your device, you may see a multi-coloured G, or “Sign In with Google”. These are the same

10. Select Book Library

If you have more than one Google account logged in, select Book Library. If this is the only Google account signed in, it will automatically select itself.

You should now be logged in!

Let us know if you encounter any issues 🙂
