Children benefit significantly from the exemplary working relationships between the childminder, her assistant and parents. They settle very quickly into daily routines. Their behaviour and attitudes to learning are excellent.

Children thrive in this exciting setting where the childminder meticulously plans specific activities for each child based on her in-depth observations.

Our preschool ‘leavers’ successfully gain entry to top independent schools including Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls and St Helens College, with their strong cultural and social capital, and characteristics of effective learning recognized.

We have an extensive range of indoor and outdoor toys and equipment, catering for every need. We maintain a free-flow arrangement from the house to the garden, allowing children to choose a playing environment. The garden is safety surfaced to enable outdoor play all year round.

We use the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Framework’ to track ‘Early Years’ Outcomes’ and set ‘next steps’ for each child. This ensures gaps in learning are swiftly identified, supporting every child to be ‘School Ready’ by the end of their learning journey with us. (This tracking also ensures early intervention in the case of Special Educational needs).

Planning is based on individual specific interests and needs, with what each child likes ‘doing’ used as our ‘starting point. Each child’s interests are interwoven into all seven areas of learning, with ‘next steps’ incorporated into this personalised teaching. Overarching ‘Themes’ such as seasons and festivals, are ‘acknowledged’ throughout the curriculum. at an appropriate level for each child.

About Us

For post-EYFS children

We support the academic needs of older children who attend our setting with various specialist online platforms.  We plan activities to promote older children’s personal, social, and emotional development, helping them  continue to develop in these areas. These all help to ensure children are always equipped for success.
